- September 2026 — Mojia corrected: it ships a cover and a bare cross stand, not a weighted base (the 2026-08-17 signed-in read). The verdict box, its card copy and its name still said base-included; its card also called it the only vented pick, when the PURPLE LEAF 11 ft and 12 ft are vented too.
- September 2026 — NEW BEST OVERALL: the PURPLE LEAF 11' x 11' Square Double-Top (B07K37RPBT, Terra), read signed-in 2026-09-25 at $479, in stock, 4.5★ across 2,956 ratings pooled across the double-top family (36 sizes and colours; the same pool as our pound-for-pound 10x10 pick). It replaces the single-top PURPLE LEAF 11 ft Square: Amazon retired its umbrella-only 11x11 (B07ZPVM1S9 now redirects to a $629 base-included bundle on 64 ratings), and that card's 4.6★/953 base, its Consumer Reports 82 (a wood-grain sibling) and its owner quote all belonged to the retired line, so none carried over. The new pick is the only canopy in the tier with a published wind rating (35 mph, maker-rated); its critical tail (241 reviews) leads on the crank failing within a season or two. The PURPLE LEAF 12 ft is retitled from 'Best for wind (premium)' to 'Biggest vented canopy', since the 11x11 now holds the tier's only wind rating. Corrected the base count: two of the five ship a weighted base, not three (the old 11 ft had a base-included bundle; the new one is umbrella-only, and the 12 ft already was).
- August 2026 — 🚨 THE BELT-HOLDER’S PRIMARY BUY BUTTON WAS DEAD. The Black 11' x 11' base-included bundle (B0CPPDK9ZB) reads “Currently unavailable. We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock” with no seller and no add-to-cart, and /api/po returns NO OFFER. Its page still shows $341 under a Limited time deal badge — a residual offer on an unavailable listing, which is the documented case that a price does not prove a buy path. FIX: the umbrella-only listing (B07ZPVM1S9, In Stock, $499, /api/po deal=None) is now PRIMARY, and the bundle is demoted to also-at pointing at a live colourway (B0CPPDT8N7 Brick Red, $700, one of three live 11' x 11' colourways at that price — colour is not a product difference, so the swap is merit-neutral). 🚨 AND THE PRICE INVERTED THE CARD’S FRAMING: the bundle was $492 on 2026-07-23 and is $700 now, +42%, so it no longer undercuts the umbrella-only listing ($492 vs $499 then) but costs $201 MORE. All four price sites reversed — umbrella-only is now the cheaper route and the post says so. Side benefit: the buy path and the published 4.6★/953 finally sit on the SAME listing, which is what the rating rule wants. The Base spec keeps the two-listings shape, so the three-of-five split is unchanged.
- August 2026 — THE BASE COLUMN WAS RE-READ AND RE-LABELLED (2026-08-17, 14 signed-in listing reads across the franchise). The finding: “base” does TWO jobs on these listings — the STAND that holds the umbrella up and the BALLAST that stops it blowing over — and makers use the word for both, which is why listings that looked self-contradictory were not. All 18 cantilevers now share one vocabulary: “Base included” (the shipped base IS the ballast once filled), “Cross stand only” (a bare stand ships, ballast is a separate buy), “Umbrella only” (nothing ships). FOUR PRODUCTS WERE MISLABELLED. Here: the MOJIA ships only a bare powder-coated cross stand — its own listing says the umbrella must be secured with a weighted base, SOLD SEPARATELY — against the “Included (+ cover)” we published. So this post was wrong in BOTH its original “every one comes with a base” form AND the four-of-five correction made earlier the same day. It is three of five.
- August 2026 — 🚨 THE 12 FT VENTED PICK'S BUY LINK WAS DEAD AGAIN — second retired PURPLE LEAF ASIN on this card in two days. B0CPLZNF3D (Pebble Grey, 12' x 12', Base Included), wired 2026-08-17 to fix exactly this failure on B0CPLZMRYT, now 302s to B0H2LPVX2P ('12 FT w/Base & Central Lights', $816, 5.0★/1) with the page's own #ASIN, currentAsin and canonical all agreeing — a different, pricier product. Pebble Grey 12' x 12' Base Included is ABSENT from its own parent's 46-child map (B0GSZW7ZRG), the same signature as the retired B07SFLV5K2; seven other cantilever ASINs read the same day resolved to themselves, so it is the ASIN, not the method. THE SURVIVING BASE-INCLUDED 12' x 12' CHILDREN COST $799 AND $819 — both above this $450-750 division — so on Brad's call the card is now wired to B0DFH77THK (Mist Grey, 12' x 12', UMBRELLA ONLY, $549.99), which keeps the 12 ft canopy and keeps the pick inside its own division. Consequences, all carried on the card: it is no longer base-included, so the post's 'every one comes with a base' framing is corrected to four of five throughout; rating RE-SOURCED with the buy link 4.4★/67 → 4.6★/74 (a different pool, not accrual — 295 star-points against 340 on 7 more reviews); price ~$746 → ~$550, so it is still the priciest here but by ~$50 rather than half again; and the owner quote was REPLACED, because the Psychovertigo quote had been carried through two re-pointings on the recorded assumption that reviews pool family-wide, which this read DISPROVES (B0H2LPVX2P reads 5.0/1 under the same parent) and it does not appear on the new listing. New quote is verbatim on the exact 12' x 12' Umbrella Only variant. Cost recorded: the retired ASIN carried a 10% Creator Connections line and the new one carries none, though that 10% was already earning nothing on a dead ASIN.

- August 2026 — 🚨 CORRECTED THE WIND/VENT COLUMN — it was wrong on two of five, and the post contradicted its own table. Every listing was re-read signed-in 2026-08-17. (1) The Best Choice 12x12 was published as 'Single-top (no vent)'; its own bullets read 'WIND VENT: ... the vent promotes airflow' and its Model Name field reads '12x12ft 2-Tier', so it is a vented 2-tier canopy. (2) The PURPLE LEAF 11 ft spec was corrected to double-top on 2026-08-16 and the PROSE was never swept, so the table said double-top while the body, the wind FAQ and the WINNER'S OWN HONEST CATCH still said 'single-top, no vent' — understating our own best-overall pick. Net: only the Grand Patio 10x10 is a plain single-top now, and NONE of the five publishes an mph rating, so the column now separates what a maker will stand behind rather than what it merely is. Ratings re-read the same day: Best Choice 1,448 -> 1,471, Grand Patio Sunbrella 4.2/231 -> 4.1/235 (a rounding move, not a re-pool), PURPLE LEAF 11 ft prose corrected 945 -> 953 to match the data. ALL FIVE bases are pooled variant families reported as global ratings and only one carried a basis flag; all now do. The Best Choice 1,471 is the SAME pooled number as the 10x10 on the value post - one listing family, 53 SKUs, two cards.
- August 2026 — Re-wired the PURPLE LEAF 12 ft vented pick to the exact 12' x 12' base-included ASIN (B0CPLZNF3D, Pebble Grey). The ASIN it had been wired to since July is RETIRED: it now redirects to a different listing that opens on 11' x 11' at $559, so the buy button was sending readers to a different SIZE than this card describes. The new link opens on 12' x 12' with the base included. Price corrected ~$580 -> $746 (the retired ASIN's price was frozen in our data; $746 is the cheapest of the three 12' x 12' base-included colourways, and the only one still inside this $450-750 division). Rating re-read signed-in: 4.4★/67, and now flagged as a POOLED family base - the listing family spans 6 sizes and several colourways, so that number is not a read of the 12 ft alone.
