The Backyard Showdown is run by a Florida homeowner building out his own dream backyard — and comparing every piece of gear obsessively along the way, so you don't have to read 40 spec sheets to make one decision.

How we compare

Every showdown starts from the full field — not a shortlist of whoever pays best. We compare real specs, warranty terms, safety records (including recalls), and what owners actually report after a season of use. When we own the product, we say so and show it. When we haven't had hands on something, we say that too — no fake "I tested this" claims, ever.

As the testing bench grows, measured data — not adjectives — will settle the showdowns.

How the site makes money
