Cons
- 5 of its 10 newest written critical reviews describe a reel that jammed or stopped retracting, one "after the first year", one in its third year
- TechGearLab: "it lacks an O-ring, and we noticed that the connectors had a slight leak" — fixed with a spare ring
- A 1/2-inch hose, so less water than a 5/8-inch hose on the same spigot; one owner wrote of "much less water pressure" through a sprinkler
- The rating pools the 65, 100 and 130 ft reels in two colours; 656 written reviews are of this version
- Ayleid's own store lists the same reel far above what it actually sells for, so its list price tells you nothing
