Pros
- A warranty that survives an online purchase — FibroPool sells direct and its heat-pump warranty names no condition on where you buy, while the big dealer brands' coverage shrinks or disappears when bought online
- 80 owner ratings at 4.3★, with zero Vine reviews in the cards we read — the reassurance thin white-label listings can't offer
- Titanium heat exchanger, so it's saltwater-safe
Cons
- Heat only — it doesn't cool
- Fixed-speed and conservatively rated to 10,000 gallons — for a 15,000+ gallon above-ground pool it's undersized; size up to the inverter units
- 240V hardwired — you'll want an electrician for the circuit if the pad isn't already wired
Slow to heat, and several owners cannot get their pool to the temperature they bought it for. Some of that is the heat-pump floor in cool weather rather than a fault — but connections blowing off and a heat-exchanger leak at three seasons are not.

You want a heat pump for an above-ground or compact in-ground pool (up to 10,000 gallons) from a brand whose warranty survives an online purchase, on a titanium heat exchanger — just size it honestly, because 55,000 BTU is a small-pool heater.

4.3★ across 80 owner ratings (Amazon, read 2026-10-19 · early data). What owners complain about: Slow to heat, and several owners cannot get their pool to the temperature they bought it for. Some of that is the heat-pump floor in cool weather rather than a fault — but connections blowing off and a heat-exchanger leak at three seasons are not.
Who sells the FibroPool FH255 Pool Heat Pump (55K BTU) on Amazon, and can it be returned?
Sold and shipped by FibroPool USA, when we read the listing on 2026-10-08. Amazon's returns line read: 30-day refund/replacement. Sellers and return terms can change, so check both on the listing before you buy.

10-yr limited (1-yr full parts + labor, then prorated) · lifetime parts on titanium coil tubing
Does the FibroPool FH255 Pool Heat Pump (55K BTU) warranty still apply if I buy it on Amazon?
Yes as far as the document goes: FibroPool's warranty carries no authorized-dealer, unauthorized-reseller or marketplace condition — we checked the full text on 2026-09-14. That is unusual in outdoor gear, where the multi-year term is often attached to the dealer channel rather than the product.
Record
- — The owner base is this model's own, not a pool across sizes. The listing's size selector offers 35K, 55K and 70K BTU, but read the same day each size carries its own count and star spread (the 35K reads 4.2 across 93; this one 4.3 across 80), so the rating describes the 55K you are buying. The size range shown on this page was also corrected to 35K–70K.
- — Warranty now read from FibroPool's heat-pump warranty, not its general one, which excludes heat pumps: a limited 10-year term with one year of full parts and labor, then prorated parts, plus a lifetime parts warranty on the titanium coil tubing (the plastic tank is excluded). It names no condition on where you buy.
- — Titanium heat exchanger, maker-stated. Critical pass the same day: owners report it is slow to heat and several cannot reach the temperature they bought it for — though part of that is the heat-pump floor in cool weather rather than a fault in the unit, and the card says so.
- — Five spec keys were missing and the comparison table was rendering four blank cells because of it. Heat source, heating speed, run cost, best-for and heats-on-demand restored, with the heating speed derived for this pairing: about 0.7°F/hr at 55K BTU on a 10,000-gallon pool.
- — The owner base moved listings. We had 4.4 across 70 on B073XSHNR5, read in June; the live listing is B08BGCVKPP at 4.3 across 79 — a single-model base, which is why it earns the class on depth rather than average.
