Pros

- 200 lb filled base, four times the weight of the best-selling hoop's
- Hangs 24 in out over the water, so play happens in the pool rather than against the coping
- Regulation-size 18 in stainless rim, vinyl-coated, and sold as salt-system compatible
- Three-year warranty from a maker that sells direct and answers, by its owners' account
Cons
- The critical reviews are factory problems: backboard plexiglass whose glue let go, bases that leaked when filled, parts missing from the box
- About nine percent of its owners rate it two stars or fewer, against about two percent for the GoSports PRO
- Two people to assemble, by Wirecutter's account and the owners'
- Dunn-Rite's own page states two different lowest rim heights, 23 in and 29 in
Quality control, not design. The recent critical reviews describe a clear backboard whose glue let go within a day or within minutes, bases that leaked once filled, a bent rim, and boxes missing hardware or arriving broken. Owners who got a sound one describe it lasting through teenagers and saltwater.

Pro review “Of the many toys we tested, none was as immediately successful and instantly fascinating as the Dunn-Rite Splash & Shoot Clear Hoop. The Dunn-Rite hoop hangs out farther from the pool's edge than other, cheaper models we tested.”— Kit Dillon and Kyle Fitzgerald, Wirecutter
