recteq answers that in its own warranty document, which we read on 2026-09-11: no warranties, either expressed or implied, are extended to persons who purchase the product from anyone other than recteq or an authorized recteq Distributor We quote the maker rather than deciding your case — read the document before you buy if the warranty is why you are buying.
Record
- — Gave the Heavyweight belt to the recteq Flagship 1600, which WIRED measured within 7 degrees across the grate; no credentialed tester has measured the Backyard Beast. It stays as the value pick on its Ace Hardware owner base and price.
- — Re-read the Amazon listing: 'Currently unavailable', no live re-list on Amazon, and the same listing now carries a 17-owner population where July had 219 — a re-list. The Ace Hardware base stays primary; the Amazon buy path is recorded out of stock.
- — Re-sourced away from recteq's own site. The card had carried the brand-page 4.9 across 235; the primary is now Ace Hardware at 4.8 across 219, confirmed in that page's own aggregateRating JSON-LD rather than read off the rendered stars. The entry was also renamed from the RT-700 it had been filed under, with the manufacturer number RT-1200BB recorded.
- — Recorded that this pick earns us nothing. Ace runs through Impact and we are not approved there, so the best-evidence buy link and the paid buy link are not the same link — and we kept the evidence.
