Pros
- A swing-out fuel door: add charcoal or wood without lifting the meat or the grate out of the drum
- Oklahoma Joe's rates it at "14+ hours of uninterrupted smoking" on 8 lb of fuel, and one owner reports "3/4 of a basket lasted me 14 hours"
- Smokes and grills: one owner smokes for 6–7 hours, locks the vents, then grills over the same leftover coals
- At 136.5 lb it is a heavy drum on wheels, which owners say holds heat well
Cons
- The default "Add to Cart" seller on Amazon is a third party, and Oklahoma Joe's warranty excludes unauthorized marketplace sellers — open "See All Buying Options" and choose the offer sold by Amazon.com
- A new listing with a thin owner base and no one- or two-star written reviews yet, so long-term durability is not on record
- Owners describe a torn lid gasket and a mis-machined grate bracket on arrival, and one recommends sealing seams with food-grade RTV
- Men's Journal's gear editor, after months with it: the "Access door takes a bit of technique to get latch correctly"
- The 14+ hour burn is the maker's claim on a full basket; no credentialed test of this model has measured it
No critical written reviews on record. The mixed notes sit in 4- and 5-star reviews: "The lid gasket came torn and 1 of the 3 grate support brackets was machined very wrong", an air-intake shield that took "a YouTube video to understand how to install", and advice to use "food grade RTV gasket maker to seal up some of the seams".
