Pros
- On the EPA's ENERGY STAR list under its own model number — the certification most utility rebates ask for — at about $999
- Runs on 115V or 208–230V, takes 1.5- or 2-inch plumbing and fits a SuperFlo footprint, so it can drop onto most existing pads
- App scheduling by RPM or GPM, plus RS-485 for pool automation systems (cable sold separately)
- A two-year maker warranty printed on a warranty card in the box, with no registration step
Cons
- Early data: 69 ratings is under our 100-rating bar for a belt, so this card is an answer, not a crown
- The critical tail is early faults: a pump that grew loud (80 dB) after three weeks, a grinding start, error code E030, a loose connector pin out of the box, and one that errored after five minutes — 9 critical of 69
- Support runs by email from a Canadian storefront (Relaax Water Parts), not a dealer network; one owner was asked to open the motor himself
- The warranty pays the repair and the return trip, not the trip to the repair centre — that shipping is yours on a 38 lb pump
Early faults and thin support: a pump that grew loud after three weeks (one owner measured 80 dB), a high-pitched squeal and grinding on start, error code E030, a connector pin loose out of the box, one that errored after five minutes; support by email, with one owner asked to open the motor himself and another praising a fast, generous fix.
9 critical reviews of 69 (about 13%), all read 2026-10-08 (Aug 2025 → Jun 2026): 6 are an early fault or error, 1 under-powered, 1 a return, 1 no text; 8 of 9 Verified Purchase, 0 Vine · critical reviews read October 2026
