FibroPool FH270 Pool Heat Pump (70K BTU)
Best overall: a real brand whose warranty still counts when you buy online — A 70,000 BTU heat pump for in-ground pools up to 15,000 gallons, and the one buyable pick with a warranty that means something on an Amazon purchase. Where a Hayward or Pentair bought online drops to ~1-year parts-only and a white-label carries nothing, FibroPool — which sells direct — honors its lifetime titanium-coil / prorated-parts warranty on a direct or Amazon buy. Real US brand, enamel-coated steel case (not the white-labels' plastic), COP 5.77, and the cleanest owner base in the field (4.3★/135, single-model, no Vine).

- Sized for pools up to ~15,000 gal; not enough heater for a big in-ground pool
- A minority of owners hit an early failure and found support slow — keep your records so the warranty is there when you need it
A unit that developed problems within months of installation, with support slow to help.

“This is a powerful, simple pool heater. It takes a few days to get to temperature mid-spring but then holds it easily. I never have to touch the settings after setting the temperature on day one. I love this thing and it's gotten me daily use of the pool.”— Dev, Amazon · Verified owner

Does the FibroPool FH270 Pool Heat Pump (70K BTU) warranty still apply if I buy it on Amazon?
Yes as far as the document goes: FibroPool's warranty carries no authorized-dealer, unauthorized-reseller or marketplace condition — we checked the full text on 2026-09-03. That is unusual in outdoor gear, where the multi-year term is often attached to the dealer channel rather than the product.
Record
- — Review base read 2026-09-25: 4.3★ across 135; 8 visible reviews, no free-product (Amazon Vine) reviews, all US. So the rating describes this one product, bought by US owners. Our listed rating (4.3★ across 134) was not changed in this pass.
- — Our listed rating moved from 4.3★ across 134 to 4.3★ across 135 from the same read.
- — The heat exchanger material is not published by the maker either. In a category where titanium is the standard claim, FibroPool declines to make it.
- — No FibroPool heat pump carries a flow figure in the maker Shopify catalogue — checked line-wide, not just this model. The company sells a BA270 bypass assembly and a replacement flow switch for these units, so flow matters to the install and the catalogue prints none. Recorded as published-nothing at that source rather than assumed absent everywhere.
