✓ Safety: no active recall — No CPSC recall for any filter in this roundup (full database, 9,966 records, read 2026-08-26). A cartridge filter is a PRESSURE VESSEL: shut off the pump, open the manual air relief valve and wait for water rather than air before touching the closure — see /pool-school/pool-filter-pressure-vessel-safety/. ⚠️ An owner reports this housing separating while the system was being primed. No recall exists and this is a single owner report, but it is the reason this filter is carded as a skip.
